Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon

     Yuzu and Cocoa bubbleroon was a big let down. I had high hopes for this bubbleroon because I love Rose Jam so much but they are very different. Yuzu and Cocoa did a little bit of everything but not enough. It was semi-moisturizing, a little softening but nothing that would make me want to buy it again. The scent is an orangey citrus and coconut/chocolatey mix. It leaves your skin smelling like a perfectly ripe orange. The bubbles that come from Yuzu and Cocoa are sad. I was shocked by how few and how durable there were. The bubbles were so flat and not fluffy at all. They popped without force or movement and didn't fulfill my Lush expectations. There is a possibility that I got an "off" product because this bubbleroon was pretty sad:(

Oatafix Fresh Face Mask!

     Oatafix smells like a delicious oatmeal cookie! It is a fresh face mask and needs to be kept in a refrigerator so it doesn't spoil. Oatafix moisturizes and rejuvenates your skin to be brand new after just one use! The more you use it the better your skin feels. I used Oatafix every other day for almost 3 weeks and my skin feels like a baby's. It cleared and healed the breakouts on my face but as soon as I stopped using Oatafix my face broke out again. Still, I definitely recommend Oatafix and give it 5/5 stars!

     Today can be great if you don't expect anything. That way you will always be surprised at what the day throws at you. Good or bad look at the day as an adventure! Even if something unwanted happens you will be stronger for the next day ahead. Don't let one little bad thing ruin your day. Each day can be great if you focus on what's important and positive!

Golden Egg

     Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt has taken a year to create and the time was well worth it! It smells like Honey I Washed The Kids soap with is a toffee caramel and honey scent. I used this bath bomb melt 2 times easily and might even try thirds or fourths next time! The olive oil and cocoa butter moisturize incredibly well! The price is high but it really has a bang for the buck! This new innovative product really is the best of both worlds. As you know it combines a luxury bath melt outer layer with a fizzy bath bomb interior. It also has the yummy scent of Honey I Washed The Kids Soap with the shocking golden glitter used in Sunny Side bubble bar! I am giving the gorgeous Golden Egg 5/5 stars baby! I will probably repurchase this and I suggest you do too!!!

Bunny Bubble Bar!

     Bunny Bubble bar looks absolutely adorable! It has iridescent baby blue candy eyes and a fuzzy looking yellow fluff ball tail! They are made from vegan sweets! The bunny's belly is pink and is filled with cornflower petals. But when you use the bubble bar it just look like some pocket lint and fuzz got into the bath. The bubbles themselves are weak and few. The bubbles that were there popped very easily and only lasted a short amount of time. This bubble bunny reminds me of Creamy Candy in more ways than one. They both share the delicious fair trade vanilla and cotton candy sweet scent. Both of them don't represent Lush's name of "Hollywood" bubbles. And lastly there are both small and costly. I am giving the bubble bunny 2/5 stars. The only good thing is that it made my skin a little soft. I don't recommend purchasing this and I won't be repurchasing it again either. 

Ceridwen's Cauldron Bath Melt!

Ceridwen's Cauldron smells exactly like its ingredients! Imaging cocoa butter, walnut butter, oats, and lavender all put into one! The scent isn't overpowering and is very relaxing. When you get out of the bath your skin has a light and whipped residue on it. Your skin will also be very moisturized and smelling of herbs. The residue on your skin seems to leave when you are dry from water. This is a super luxurious bath melt and is my favorite bath melt because of the texture and price. You may be confused when I say price because it is more expensive than the other bath melts. Although it is more expensive it is more cost affective. The price of money per fluid ounce is lower than the others. I also think it works better in general. Ceridwen's Cauldron has a lot of personality too! I love how it is designed with a cheese cloth like material around it. I love how it catches the oats but you can still see what is inside! I am surely giving Ceridwen's Cauldron a 5/5!

    Today I learned something really helpful. It's to take your energy and passion and make something lovely come out of it. Not just positive energy and passion but negative energy and passion too. I was REALLY upset about what someone said to me and got very worked up about it. I didn't know what to do. Then it hit me. I could take all this energy I had to go yell at that person which would do nothing. Or I could do something productive. In the midst of tears I texted an old friend and told them how much I missed and appreciated them. Right now I'm still a bit worked up so I'm writing this. And guess what? I feel better. Doing something positive and productive gives you perspective and peace. (That's a lot of "P's"!!! Haha) It helped get my mind off of things and calmed down to see what it was that was actually bothering me. Then I confronted the problem both internally and with that person. And now I'm like %95 percent better haha:)

Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb!

     Phoenix Rising is a delicious smelling warm apple cinnamon pie! When you plop the dark purple bomb into the water it fizzes very slowly with whispers of foam radiating from Phoenix Rising. I though it was a bit boring and just when I was dissapointed, green started spewing out! It was sycronized and patterned creating a really cool design! The water was a medium dark purple with the tiniest bit of shimmer in it. When you hop out of the bath you will notice your skin feels like velvet! No joke! It becomes wonderfully moisturized and smooth. I only used this bomb once because I wanted the full affect but I think that a half whorls be satisfactory too! I am giving Phoenix Rising 5/5 stars for sure!!!

Berry Bash Bath!!!

You are about to read the bath math for Berry Bash, filled with black currant galore! You will feel young and cheerful in this scrumptious tub medley. To start off, crumble some of The Comforter bubble bar under the water to your likings. When the bath is full throw in either Blackberry bath bomb or Space girl bath bomb; put in as much as you want. If you need something creamy and have MMM (melting marshmallow moment) do not hesitate to throw that in too! Wash up your body with Sultana soap and then I suggest hopping in the shower for the next part. Grab a piece of Sweetie Pie shower jelly an scrub up your hair with it! It will transform your locks into beautiful soft and healthy hair. Last but not least, maybe even the best, take You Snap the Whip body butter and cover yourself from head to toe until you are navy blue. Put the body butter away and massage and exfoliate until your skin is like a baby's bottom. Then step into the shower and rinse it all off. You will be happy, relaxed, and content...actually you may want to get back in the bath!!! Haha I really hope you try this bath cocktail because it is one of my favorites!

You Snap the Whip Body Butter!!!

     You Snap the Whip is a delicious body butter that smells strongly of black currant! The scent is relaxing and cheerful. It brightens your skin and your smile! When you massage it onto your skin you will feel the small bits of charcoal and pumice exfoliate to reveal a beautiful glowing layer of new skin! This body butter is moisturizing, exfoliating, and gentle so that you can have the best feeling skin ever. Although You Snap the Whip is very moisturizing and softening, there is no residue! How? You may ask. That's because of the charcoal powder that has been blended into the formula to soak up extra oils! When you jump out of the shower or bath you will notice the scent of black currant lingering. Although it is not too strong it is still noticeable. If you hate the smell of black currant don't even mess around with You Snap the Whip. But if you love black currant, this will be your new miracle product! I am giving 5/5 stars to You Snap the Whip because it's simply amazing! I highly recommend trying out this delicious product because it really packs a punch! The only downside to this product is that it is a little messy...because it is such a dark color, be sure to rinse out the bath afterwards. Don't worry though! It comes right off! 

All the Single Ladies!!!

     Calling all the single ladies!!! Valentine's Day isn't just for couples, it's for you to! Take the day to pamper and love yourself! I like to start the pampering by calling up another single girlfriend and painting our nails while we watch a movie! Do each others hair and makeup or whatever you love to do! If you start to feel lonely and your friend has left, start to run the tub and let The Comforter bubble bar soothe you! Take half of Love Locket bath bomb into the bath. Cut off a small piece of Close to You massage bar and plop that in the bath tub too! It will give you soft moisturized skin as the cocoa butter melts into the water. After you soak, grab Sweetie Pie shower jelly and lather it up on a loofa and scrub away all the dead skin cells. You can also use a bit more of Sweetie Pie and wash your hair with it! It's a bit of a hassle but it's worth it! You will now have gorgeously smooth skin and hair. You will be like a wonderful scent bomb smelling of sweet candy! I hope your Valentines Day was the bomb diggity!!! And remember, single or not, you are so loved!!!

Valentine's Day! Close to You Massage Bar

     Close to You massage bar smells like Candy Mountain bubble bar from the holiday collection but with a bit more warmth and vanilla in it. If you are unfamiliar with Candy Mountain it is basically candy floss scented like Rockstar soap! When you use Close to You it leaves a light creamy pink formula that feels like heaven! But be careful because the pink stains! It left my hand a hot pink that turned everything I touched pink. The residue sinks into your skin completely in 20 minutes max. Close to You is designed to have a peek-a-boo heart in the middle made of fondant. The heart is surrounded with the light bubble gum pink of Rockstar soap! It makes your skin feel like an angel and smelling like an irresistible sweet! Soft, smooth, and fully moisturized is the way to go with this massage bar. Close to You is a smaller massage bar but it is cheaper too! I am giving Close to You 2.5/5 stars. It works incredibly well, but I would like to wear clothes after I use it! If you do put clothes on they will all turn pink...  

Valentine's Day! Love Locket Bath Bomb

     Love Locket is a HUGE bath bomb! It is the same amount as 1 and 1/2 of the normal bombs from Lush. It is also unique because it is in the shape of a pink heart and has a yellow key hole on the front. This bath bomb is recommended by Lush to crack open. Inside you will find a small heart with tiny heart cut outs inside of the mini-heart. This bath bomb is supposedly good for three different baths but I think you will enjoy splitting it between two the most. When you plop in the half of Love Locket it dissolves in about 20-30 seconds and disappears before your eyes! You are left with baby pink/ salmon colored water with baby pink and white hearts floating in the water and little red gel hearts drifting around. It smells fizzy like Neon Love soap and has the wonderful scent of lemongrass that I love. It is a little bit sweet with herbal vanilla. I am writing this a few days after I used Love Locket and I'm not remembering any substantial skin benefits. The overall vibe of the bath is lighthearted and light minded but still comforting. I am giving Love Locket 4/5 stars. I love that it can be used multiple times and I love the scent too. I wish the paper hearts dissolved and that the little heart inside was a bit bigger. 

Valentines Day! Prince Charming Shower Gel

     Prince Charming is a bubble gum pink pomegranate and vanilla shower gel. I would recommend smelling this product before you purchase it because of the mixture of extreme scents. Fair Trade vanilla pod infusion, marshmallow root, and almond oil make a sugary sweet scent. Then they are mixed with pomegranate juice and grapefruit oil which is overall very tangy and citrusy. Super sweet and super clean scents do not always go together and you have to decide if you like the blend or not. I am personally not a fan of this scent and it makes me a bit sick. Besides all that, I do think this has an excellent creamy lather. It doesn't give loads of moisture or softness but the two elements together make your skin feel healthy and smooth. It lathers up like a dream and a little bit goes a long way. I am giving Prince Charming 4/5 because the scent is a little heavy on the citrus side of the mix.

Valentine's Day! Neon Love Soap

     Neon Love soap smells like a strawberry smoothie and vanilla bean ice cream. It almost has the scent of fizzing soda pop...if you can smell fizz! Haha:) Every slice of soap comes with a part of a white heart to make every piece beautiful and artistic. As you use Neon Love you will notice strawberry seeds in it! (I think they are strawberry seeds...?) It has a very smooth formula that glides onto your skin as it nourishes. It leaves your skin full of moisture but without a residue. I'm pretty sure it didn't scent my skin but I'm not positive because I have a cold. Therefore my sniffer is a little bit broken haha! I overall really like Neon Love soap. It is creamy but not runny, it still has a great bubbly lather. My favorite thing about Neon Love is that you can really feel it nourish your skin and help it become renewed. I can see this being wonderful to use in the summer after swimming in a pool. I am giving Neon Love 5/5! I love the visual creativity of the soap and the new innovative formula and scent. 

Space Girl Bath Bomb!!!

     Space girl bath looks like a purple planet with a dash of glitter! It smells like black currant, vanilla, candy, and sparkles! Lush was genius with the creation of this scent because it is very age friendly. I can see 5 year olds loving it and 50 year olds and up loving it! The scent is sophisticated and feminine but still has the sweetness  of candy. Space girl, like limited edition Cinders, has popping candy in it! Space girl didn't pop as much as Cinders but still served its purpose of sounding like passing meteorites! After the bath bomb stopped fizzing, it left a whisper of white foam on the surface of the water which was beautiful and artistic with the little gold and silver glitters. As soon as the water was disturbed the foam went away. When you get out of the bath you will probably have delicious smelling skin and will be speckled with glitter. One of my favorite qualities of Space girl is the scent, it will help you drift off to sleep. One of the downfalls is the price quality. It is 4.2 fluid ounces which is in the middle of the small and large sized bath bombs from Lush. It costs $5.25 and I recommend only using it once. The color of the water is a transparent purple that comes off as foggy lavender. If you used any less of the bath bomb than all of it you would have very ugly gray water. Overall I think Space girl deserves 4/5 stars. The experience was very enjoyable but the price stings a little bit and I was not fond of the glitter getting stuck to me.

Amandopondo Bubble Bar!

Amandopondo is scented of rose, lemon, and orange oils. When you run the bath and use Amandopondo, the bubbles are light and airy. They remind me of poly-fill in a way. There is a light fresh scent that is mind clearing and gives off positive energy and positive vibes. Not to mention positive feeling skin! It makes your skin soft and smooth to the touch. I also love the look of the bubble bar. It is a white oval with a dried rose bud sticking out of the top. It is classy and elegant. I would imagine that in the old days this is what a costly bubble bar would look like. There isn't much to say about Amandopondo other than its smell is refreshing and it makes nice light bubbles. I am giving this bubble bar 4/5 stars because the bubbles aren't too durable. They pop easily when touched or moved.

Fantabulous Friday: Angel Candy!

     Using up the rest of your holiday products? Well here is a delicious bath to relax you and make you feel magically incredible! Start with running water and hold The Magic Wand bubble bar underneath it. When you have enough bubbles throw in half of a Luxury Lush Pud. You can scrub your hair and body with Rose Jam shower gel to get luscious and smooth skin. If you have especially dry areas take Snowcake soap and repeat over the needed areas. Finish up with a layer of Dream Cream that will give you angelic skin! This bath is very relaxing, pampering, and not to mention yummy! More specifically it smells like you are in a candy shop, but don't worry! It's not too strong!

   

     Don't forget to take your contagious smile everywhere you go!

Retro Reviews: Coolaulin Conditioner

     Coolaulin hair conditioner is made for curly frizzy hair and is awesome! It is made with coconuts and leaves your hair smelling sugary and sweet. This is the most moisturizing hair conditioner I have used from Lush. It makes your hair silky, soft, and smooth but doesn't take out your natural curls or way them down! If you give it a few minutes to sink into your hair you will be shocked! Your hair will absorb so much of the product there will be very little to rinse off. I can't recommend the Coolaulin conditioner enough and I think that everyone can use it too, not just curly hair girls. If you have thin or fine hair, curly and course, or any kind of hair you will still like Coolaulin. Because of this I am giving Coolaulin 5/5 stars. The only reason why someone wouldn't like this conditioner is if you don't like the smell of coconut or sweets. It smells most strongly of coconut when you are using it in the shower and is very faint afterwards. Your hair will mostly smell like sweets afterward and the coconut isn't too identifiable. This is a retro product so you have to order it online and you can't try a sample first but I can almost completely guarantee that you won't have problems with it. I haven't found any at least!

Dream Cream:)

     Dream Cream is a Lush cult favorite and for good reasons! It is a lightly herbal scented hand and body lotion. A little bit goes a long way and a little bit is very moisturizing, calming, and relaxing! It is a lightweight formula that leaves your skin very soft. It would be a wonderful daily lotion. It sinks into your skin very fast making it versatile for day or night. I prefer to use it at night because of its calming essence and relaxing and soothing scent and feel. I am giving Dream Cream 5/5 stars and I now understand why everyone loves it so much!

Retro Reviews: Chai Shower Gel

     Chai shower gel is wonderful! It makes you smell like a chai latte in the best way haha! I don't know how Lush does it but the scent is dead on! Chai is a retro item and is only sold online. If you use it on your head you will notice that it is very gently on your scalp and hair but still leaves it clean. The lather is great and is light and foamy. If you drizzle Chai in a loofa it becomes a bubbley mess! It leaves your skin feeling soft and super duper silky! It is such a luxurious product which is why I am giving it 5/5 stars! Most shower gels from Lush I find to be overpriced and not quite worth the money. This shower gel and Rose Jam shower gel are the only exceptions in my book haha! I highly recommend putting in an online order and to pop this little puppy in your cart! You will not be disappointed!

Fiery, Spicy, Happy!

Fiery, Spicy, Happy!

     It was so cold outside and I needed something to warm me up so I created this bathtub full of spicy scents! To start I took about a 6th of a Karma bubble bar, but take as much as you want to fix it to your likings. Once bubbles where everywhere and there was enough water in the bath I threw in some fire! I took my Cinders bathbomb and listened and relaxed to the sound of a crackling fire...also know as popping candy!!! I used Karma soap but immediately regretted it. You can find out why in my last post. So I ended up washing my body again but this time with Chai retro shower gel. I also used this in my hair! I really wanted to spoil my skin so I took my Snowcake soap and lathered up! It's so buttery and creamy! To wash my face, I used Let The Good Times Roll face cleanser, it is a classic! Overall this is a warm, smooth, spicy, and softening bath. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer and you will be good to go! I used the Dream Cream moisturizer and my skin was so happy in its silky smooth glory! Btw I made this bath again and didn't use a Cinders bomb in it and enjoyed the bath just as much and maybe even more!

Karma Bubble Bar

     Karma bubble bar has the Lush favorite scent "Karma!" It has notes of pine, patchouli, and light citrus. I cannot tell you how many times I almost bought Karma bubble bar and never did. Just recently I finally bought it and I surely made a good choice! You can use this bubble bar many times, probably 6 times if you are being generous yet proportionate. The scent is very diluted but still distinct when it is being used. Because the scent isn't as over bearing it becomes very relaxing! I love using it after I exercise because it relaxes all of my muscles including my brain! Afterwards my skin is very soft. My one wish for this product would be to have more moisture. There is currently no moisturizing qualities and as you may know plain hot baths are very drying and bad for your skin if you don't moisturize somewhere in the process. Therefore if you don't use lotion after the bath you will look and feel like a crusty old cracker. Haha overall I am giving Karma a gracious 5/5. I would say 4/5 because of the moisture aspect but Lush doesn't claim for Karma to have any moisturizing qualities to it. If you are a die hard Lushie I would recommend buying Karma because I think you will enjoy it. If you are not a full on Lushie I don't doubt you will enjoy Karma but it isn't the one of the first I would recommend buying. 

Karma Soap

     Karma soap is the soap to Lush's world famous scent. Karma smells of patchouli and pine and is overall a warm, spicy, clean scent. It has notes of citrus and some people tell me they think it smells like cleaning products. When you use the red slice of soap it glides nicely on your skin and leaves a good lather. This is my favorite soap texture for sure but I had one big problem with it. When I used it on a patch of eczema I have it burned it like crazy! I have never encountered this problem with any Lush product before. I think it was irritating because of all of the scent packed into the formula.

     After I got out of the bathroom I noticed that I still smelled of Karma. This can be good or bad depending. My overall review is 3/5 stars. I personally don't like how strongly your skin is scented afterwards and the burning sensation is a big drawback. I did enjoy the texture and formula of the lather and if I hadn't had the problems I did, this would be a favorite of mine. 

             

Fantabulous Friday: Here's to the New Years!

     Here's to the New Years! This bath cocktail contains all sorts of wonderful uplifting scents! Let's start by using a small slice of The Christmas Penguin bubble bar. If you need some glitz and shimmer don't be afraid to use a piece of Sunny Side bubble bar too! Both of these bubble bars will leave a scrumptious citrus scent. Now that you have bubbles it's time to scrub a dub dub with Angels Delight soap to stop the cold from stealing the moisture from your skin! Now for one of my new favorites!!! Take Sandy Santa and scrub away dead  cells while letting moisture seep into your delicate skin. You will be left with the lingering scent of sugary oranges. If your scalp needs a good scrub down too, grab Rub Rub Rub and ensure that snow won't be falling from your head if you catch my drift! To moisturize your hair load up your locks with Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner! If your body still needs a last coat of warmth and moisture, Celebrate lotion is the icing on the cake! By the time you are ready to leave the bathroom your mood will be bright and your spirits will be lifted! Happy New Year to all of you lushies!

Angels Delight Soap!

     Angels Delight soap looks and smells like you are licking a lollipop under a rainbow. It glides on to your skin with a gel like texture. It lathers up into foamy bubbles and smells even more delicious! It doesn't have any outstanding benefits to your skin but it is refreshing and seals in moisture. Angels Delight is perfect for little girls or grown up girly girls! I am rating this soap 4/5 stars because it is less expensive and has a magical scent that stops any negativity from ruining your day!

     I hope you all had wonderful holidays and you are ready for this new year! Let's make 2014 a year of change. We need to stop falling into what society says about us. Stick to your morals and try to help and change the world. If you feel passionate about something please pursue it! If you know that you shouldn't join your friends and make fun of the new kid at school then don't! If you see a homeless person don't walk by them and treat them like nothing because that's what everyone else does. If the world believes in equality so much let's act on our beliefs! There is so much negativity everywhere and we have the choice to help. I hope that we all make one of our New Years resolutions to change the world one smile at a time.
