Maybelline Color Tattoos

When I first tried the Maybelline color tattoos I was completely in love! I had purchased 4 because I tried one and needed more! They really were great at first but as time went on they lost their dazzle. They were said to be dupes for Mac Paint pots and I have to disagree. The paint pots are much creamier and easier to work with.

I had the Maybelline Color Tattoos is the colors "Bold Gold", "Tenacious Teal", "Too Cool", and "Bad to the Bronze". Right off the bat, "Bold Gold" and "Tenacious Teal" were pretty dry and patchy. I used them both as liners and didn't mind at first. The other two colors which were a shimmery white, and a gorgeous bronze, were beautiful eyebases/primers. I LOVED those two colors. Only after a few months they dried out pretty quick. "Too Cool" became very chunky, uneven, patchy, the glitter went everywhere, and really hard to work with. "Bad to the Bronze" is still usable but not as creamy. The shelf life of this product is awful! I feel like I wasted a lot of the product because it dried up before I could finish it. I seriously used these every day and there is still a TON left.

The price point is really good, about $5. I think that this product is great for the first 4-5 months and great for beginners. In long run, there are better products like this but this is the best from the drugstore. It just stinks that you have to waste so much! It really is a great product if you get a good color. It is kind of hit or miss. I am giving the Maybelline Color Tattoos 3/5 stars because of there shelf life. Consistency in the formulas would be nice too. I feel like some colors are like completely different products then other colors.

Have a great day everyone! Sorry I posted this review SO late:/

Retro Reviews: Hot Milk Bubble Bar

Hot Milk is a bubble bar from the Lush website, aka from their "retro" line. It retails for $5.95 and is pretty big, about the size of Creamy Candy bubble bar. I am able to use Hot Milk up to 5 times. This is a pretty good value compared to other bubble bars.

The scent description on the website is spot on! At first I thought the bubble bar smelled like some sort of French bread. I wasn't sure if I was going to like Hot Milk because I am allergic to bread and I associate the scent with being sick. I went online and read the description and now I don't think of it as bread haha. It is supposed to smell like coconut milk, orange, and patchouli. It's a scent that you have to be in the right mood to use, the scent definitely grows on you though!!! Just so you are all aware, the scent is much better when it is in the water and not as strong as when it is solid.

The bubbles Hot Milk makes are ok. They are big, white, and fluffy but they don't last too long. I don't that they are supposed to though since it is made for before bed. It definitely makes you feel cozy and sleepy! It makes your skin feel so incredibly soft and amazing and super fantabulous and satiny and heavenly and and and.... I REALLY like this product! I am giving it 5/5 stars for sure!!! The only problem for me is the scent but you can always pair it with another product or burn a candle.

I hope you guys are doing great and I really recommend this product. It makes you so sleepy and so soft! It is a great product and a great deal! Love you my little lushies!!!

Happy Blooming and Comparison to You've Been Mangoed

Happy Blooming is a a sweet cherry, candy scented bath melt. It breaks into 3 pieces but you can use it more times if desired. When you put it into your bath water it smells more like candy and sinks immediately. It doesn't mix with water until you start messing with it. It looks exactly like when you first drop it in but when you pick it up it is very mushy. I like to smooth it onto my body and let it soak in. The texture is like melty chocolate and is very thick. It then melts off into the water finally and is very milky. The water is very moisturizing and a bit oily. When you get out of the water your skin has a residue that sinks I'm very fast. Happy Blooming lightly scents your skin and is very enjoyable.
Happy Blooming is a lot thicker and is heavy duty compared to Youve been Mangoed. You've been Mangoed is light and mixes with the water to make it thin and silky. Happy Blooming is heavy and doesn't mix with the water fast or on its own. When it does melt it is more like a milky bath compared to silky bath. I personally like Happy Blooming more than You've been Mangoed. It does the same job but better and for the same price. Who doesn't want that! The only deal breaker for some people would be the scent but take your pick:) I am rating Happy Blooming 5/5 stars because it does it's job so well!!!
Hope you are having a fabulous day! And if not I am sending you hugs and smiles! Remember that there is always a ton of stuff to be happy about...like Lush!!!

My Favorite Matte Eyeshadow Look

Matte eyeshadow...I used to never wear all matte eyeshadow. I thought it was boring and plain. But recently, I have been loving matte(ish) eyeshadow looks. I love the bright effect it gives and that it is so natural and glamorous. You can keep the look simple or you can dress it up with a color on the lower lash line. My favorite palette to use to achieve this look is the first Naked palette from Urban Decay. You can also create this look with any shadows you have.

First, I use a primer and apply the color called Virgin all over my eye area. This is white creamy shade with a slightly satin finish. I use the brush that comes in the Naked palette.

Second using an EcoTools highlight brush, I apply a good amount of the color Naked into my crease and blend it out. You can use the color Buck if you have a darker completion. Naked is a light brown that is a great transition color, Buck is darker.

Third with the Elf Studio contour brush, I apply Buck in the outer corner. If you used Buck instead of Naked, you can use Creep which is black with a small amount of glitter. This is when you can build the intensity as much as you would like.

To finish, go back in with the white to fix give more brightness, apply mascara and if you want to, eyeliner. On the lower lash line I sometimes like some color. I usually use Half Baked which is a bright shimmering gold. You can use whatever color you want though.

You are left with a mostly matte eye look with hints of shimmer. This look is simple, easy, and down right gorgeous!!! This is awesome because it goes with any lip color!

I really hope you all enjoyed and try this look out! Do you have any suggestions for my first YouTube video? Maybe back to school videos? Don't forget to checkout my Instagram! My user is thelushlifexo. Have a super duper day:P

Pink Bath Bomb

Pink Bath bomb smells like sugary sweetness with a little bit of floral and vanilla. It isn't a super strong scent so it is hard to tell. When you drop it in the water it fizzes like crazy and is gone in less than a minute. The water becomes bright, slightly neon, hot pink. "Pink" releases confetti hearts and sugar flowers that dissolve. This surely isn't my favorite bath bomb but I think it is a good one to gift. It is super girly and this bath bomb, a bath melt, and a bubble bar in a knot-wrap would be an awesome gift.
Even though it is a small bath bomb, the value is great! It costs $4.95 and you can get two uses out of it. I used it once but I didn't have to! It lightly scents your skin cotton candy and the tiniest bit of vanilla. This is a good bath bomb but not my favorite. I am giving it 2/5 stars. It wasn't my favorite scent and I just didn't love it. It dried me put pretty badly and that is just not acceptable haha. This would be a really good item to throw in a knot-wrap for a present though...as long as there is a bath melt in there too! I think that a lot of people would like that. I think why I don't love it is also because it turns the water pink and I'm not a big fan of pink.

I hope you are all having a happy day full of joy:)

Sugar Scrub

Sugar Scrub from Lush is an ok exfoliater. If you use it when your skin is wet, it is very gentle. If you use it while your skin is dry, it is very harsh. Everyone can use this product and make it work for them but I don't think it will work perfectly for anyone. It leaves your skin feeling new and relieved. I think that it is a pretty good product especially for the price. I also think that you can get better exfoliaters for your specific needs. Make sure that your big chunk of the scrub doesn't get wet. Mine did (I don't know how) and now the outside is hard and is unusable. I attempted to use it and it scratched me...badly!!!
It smells very interesting, a little bit of everything in it. I can smell sweet, fruity, floral, and herbal scents all in one. This is another example that everyone can like it but no one will love it. I am rating it 2/5 stars because it smells weird and isn't a good example of a Lush product. Sugar Scrub just gets the job done. A Lush product does SO much more!!! I feel like this is a very average exfoliater and there are others out there that work just as well if not better. Don't get me wrong, it works fine and makes your skin feel fine. It is very annoying to use though and isn't anything special. It dissolved really fast too, so I couldn't use the sugar scrub as much as I would have liked.

I hope all of you are having a great day!;P Also, I would really appreciate if you would leave me requests for my blog and my YouTube makeup channel soon to come, aaaaannd to be updated whenever I post on my blog be sure to checkout my Instagram!!! I love all of you my little lushies!

Twilight Bath Bomb!!!

Twilight bathbomb smells like lavender, camomile, and sugar. It costs $6.25 and is pretty big. When you put it into the water it foams pink  and a stream of little white bubbles come out. After a while it starts to look like there is white smoke in the water and spin. Then blue on the inside is visible and it eventually splits in  half. One half is pink and still foams and bubbles but the other half does not! This half has all of the blue on it, and the blue part bubbles and shoots out turquoise glitter!!! It continues to do this then your water is swirled with pink, sky blue, and the turquoise glitter. When your water becomes one color it's a beautiful lavender shade...with glitter.  Twilight fizzes very slowly and is super relaxing. It would definitely be a great way to end your day and make you sleepy. I am rating this bath bomb 5/5 stars because it has a lot to offer!!! I hope that you have a super fantabulous day everyone! I'm sending smiles your way:) hey that rhymes!
