Matte eyeshadow...I used to never wear all matte eyeshadow. I thought it was boring and plain. But recently, I have been loving matte(ish) eyeshadow looks. I love the bright effect it gives and that it is so natural and glamorous. You can keep the look simple or you can dress it up with a color on the lower lash line. My favorite palette to use to achieve this look is the first Naked palette from Urban Decay. You can also create this look with any shadows you have.
First, I use a primer and apply the color called Virgin all over my eye area. This is white creamy shade with a slightly satin finish. I use the brush that comes in the Naked palette.
Second using an EcoTools highlight brush, I apply a good amount of the color Naked into my crease and blend it out. You can use the color Buck if you have a darker completion. Naked is a light brown that is a great transition color, Buck is darker.
Third with the Elf Studio contour brush, I apply Buck in the outer corner. If you used Buck instead of Naked, you can use Creep which is black with a small amount of glitter. This is when you can build the intensity as much as you would like.
To finish, go back in with the white to fix give more brightness, apply mascara and if you want to, eyeliner. On the lower lash line I sometimes like some color. I usually use Half Baked which is a bright shimmering gold. You can use whatever color you want though.
You are left with a mostly matte eye look with hints of shimmer. This look is simple, easy, and down right gorgeous!!! This is awesome because it goes with any lip color!
I really hope you all enjoyed and try this look out! Do you have any suggestions for my first YouTube video? Maybe back to school videos? Don't forget to checkout my Instagram! My user is thelushlifexo. Have a super duper day:P
