Maybelline Color Tattoos

When I first tried the Maybelline color tattoos I was completely in love! I had purchased 4 because I tried one and needed more! They really were great at first but as time went on they lost their dazzle. They were said to be dupes for Mac Paint pots and I have to disagree. The paint pots are much creamier and easier to work with.

I had the Maybelline Color Tattoos is the colors "Bold Gold", "Tenacious Teal", "Too Cool", and "Bad to the Bronze". Right off the bat, "Bold Gold" and "Tenacious Teal" were pretty dry and patchy. I used them both as liners and didn't mind at first. The other two colors which were a shimmery white, and a gorgeous bronze, were beautiful eyebases/primers. I LOVED those two colors. Only after a few months they dried out pretty quick. "Too Cool" became very chunky, uneven, patchy, the glitter went everywhere, and really hard to work with. "Bad to the Bronze" is still usable but not as creamy. The shelf life of this product is awful! I feel like I wasted a lot of the product because it dried up before I could finish it. I seriously used these every day and there is still a TON left.

The price point is really good, about $5. I think that this product is great for the first 4-5 months and great for beginners. In long run, there are better products like this but this is the best from the drugstore. It just stinks that you have to waste so much! It really is a great product if you get a good color. It is kind of hit or miss. I am giving the Maybelline Color Tattoos 3/5 stars because of there shelf life. Consistency in the formulas would be nice too. I feel like some colors are like completely different products then other colors.

Have a great day everyone! Sorry I posted this review SO late:/
