Look of the Day! August 23

Hey guys! Today I stepped out of my safety zone and tried a brighter and more colorful makeup look...I love it! It's easy to do and easy to wear. You can mix up some of the steps and colors to make it your style. I will be demonstrating with a purple look:P use any color though! Also, all of the products I used are Mac unless said otherwise. I just noticed that I used mostly Mac haha I kinda love their makeup.

To start the eyes, I primed my eye area with Painterly paint pot using my fingers.

I then took "Naked" from Urban Decay on a fluffy brush and applied that throughout my entire crease. This makes it easier to blend the other colors and to neutralize the overall appearance slightly. You can use any neutral, light to medium brown shade.

I took the color "Vibrant Grape" and packed that on the outer 1/3 of my eye including the crease using a sponge applicator that comes with drugstore eyeshadow.

Using the other side of the sponge, I packed the color "Digit" on the inner 2/3 of the eye but this time not in the crease too much. (Going in the crease will depend on your eye shape.)

Go back to the side of the sponge that you used to apply "Vibrant Grape" and pat it wear "Vibrant Grape" and "Digit" meet. You should still have a little bit of eyeshadow left on the sponge from the original application so don't get more shadow while you blend the colors together. Continue this process until you are done blending.

Take the fluffy brush you used to apply the first shadow and blend out the top of "Vibrant Grape" a little bit. Again don't get more product of anything.

Still using the same brush, hight light your brow with a light shade (I prefer a matte or satin finish). I used "Phloof" for an inner corner highlight and used my pinky finger to apply it.

Smudge "Digit" under your entire lower lash line and "Vibrant Grape" just on the outer lash line.

Finish with a very thin line of black liner and mascara! I also used Mac's Cremesheen lipglass in "Richer, Lusher"

*TIP ALERT* Using a sponge applicator to apply brightly colored eyeshadow really helps!
